The NBA Foundation was born out of the 2020 social justice motion that followed the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a police officer. Wilson claimed the $300,000 his group was awarded will fund the applications at his Boy and Women Club that are centered around organization ownership, including a lately introduced Athletics and Amusement Club that focuses on jobs in individuals industries that can direct to possession.
