Regina Gershman, 57, is a business analyst who was visiting Vancouver and wanted a fresh perspective on the way she wears her hair and makeup.

Regina has very thick and naturally curly hair. It was previously coloured and hadn’t been cut in several months. It was overgrown and unmanageable and she was hoping for a style that looked youthful and easy to style.

I shampooed her hair using Oribe — Moisture and Control Shampoo and Conditioner to gently cleanse and hydrate her curly hair. I applied Oribe — Supershine Moisture Cream to the mid-lengths and ends for added hydration, then I sectioned her hair and began cutting the back of the hair to eliminate excess bulk and length. Her current silhouette was adding width to her face shape and I wanted to create more height and volume instead, so I incorporated shorter layers and a fuller fringe to better compliment her facial features, and for easy styling.

To style, I applied Oribe — Straight Away Smoothing Blowout Cream to create a sleek finish and to protect against heat and humidity. I blow dried with a round brush and finished the style with Oribe — Super, I sprayed Oribe — Superfine Hairspray.
